IWC 3717-01 serial number

Hello,

This is my first post as I am about to purchase a beautiful 2nd hand 3717-01.

I am a little concerned about validity and checked the serial number (3188139) using 
www.moeb.ch/dyIWC/ and the result was 2006-2008.

However, on the provided warrenty card it says 2001?!?

The watch comes with box and papers incl. a copy of recent service, is in good condition (2) and price is quite good Despite the box, papers and matching serial numbers I am a bit concerned about the 2006-2008 VS 2001

Seller tells the watch has AR on both sides.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think that last digit on the warranty card is a 9
meaning the Watch was sold in 2009. 
But that’s just a guess. 

Why the box has IW371432 on it, is another question......

Thanks for pointing this out. 2009 could be the case, I will ask seller for additional information on the history. For the box I have no idea, but I will take the complete set to a IWC dealer this afternoon for inspection before purchase. For the box, I checked the barcode and it has Swiss origin, for the IW3714... number I don't know - all other numbers match up.

Everything is good, the correct year is 2007 confirmed by original Italian reseller and Danish reseller inspected the watch (outside only) and confirmed it was genuine. Now time to stop the concern and start to enjoy the watch.
