Hello there, I just recently purchased my first IWC watch. The IW3719. I’m wanting to get a complete service and re-finish and am tossing up between sending it to IWC to do it or there’s someone local (Melbourne , Australia ) I hear that the guys who’d service it at IWC would be mainly interns and there’s a a culture of replacing parts versus working with and restoring what’s there. The local person has refinishing machines etc ..and will offer the same warranty and do it in a third of the time it would to send it to IWC etc. Does anyone have any advice on this ?
