I was fortunate to pick up a decent IWC 814 cushion case from a local "thrift shop".

A very nice find for $12, as it includes a very clean working cal 8541 and a vintage IWC mesh bracelet.

The watch is missing stem and crown, and as mentioned, is front loading.

So I removed the crystal and popped out the movement.

Question: How is the stem installed and released with no access to the removal screw on the back?.

I'm thinking it may be the two piece split type that just pulls out. Am I correct here?

    Cheers,

    Todd

Nice find! yes, you're right. Stem splits in two. Good luck, Frederico
