My name is Shane and I am an IWCaholic. Over the last 14 days I have purchased 6 IWC's, here are some photos of just some of them (I am still waiting for my IWC Ingenuier Vintage in Rose gold to arrive)

    6 in 14 days!?!

Shane... I think you clearly have the most aggressive form of the IWC-uber-virus I have ever seen!

    (but well done, nice acquisitions!)

    Regards,

6 in 14 days must be some sort of record - even among the virus ridden people who inhabit this Forum.

    I like your PD Ocean!

There's no hope for you although I do love that DV perpetual. Have you found a gold or diamond mine in your back yard?
6 in 14 days, strewth, you collect watches faster than my nephew collects girl friends! Think you need to show the full stock just so we can keep up!

You are in great company here. SH is the letter code for the Schaffhausen canton. The SHane and SHing seem to be IWC-olics more than most here !

Looking forward to your subsequent posts with you collection.

Andrew, incase no one has told you, you suffer from the same virus but in your case it seems to be centered on classic pilots and Laureus with an occasional interloper.

Shane, impressive. Very "prolific." I think even our beloved Shing could not top your achievement. :-)

Nice watches. I wish someday it will happen to me too. In the meantime, I will save up for my next target(s).

    Thanks everyone for your support.

Why did I buy so many is such a short period of time? Well that is a question I ask myself, but like any addict the answer is I couldn't help myself. ;-) But the real answer is

the AT, I had always liked this model (I like it better than the new AT 2000. I have small wrists so the 42mm just fits and looks better on me, the 44mm is just too big) so just decided to buy it from an AD that still had one available and the same with the Portofino.

The Ocean 2000 and the Ingenieur I purchased at a watch auction (not ebay)and the same for the other 2 watches, which are his and hers IWC PD Titans, I hadn't really made a conscious decision to buy these watches, but they were also being auctioned so I just put in an absentee bid at the minimum bid price and no one else bid so I got them for a very decent price. (although I am still waiting for them to arrive but as long as they are as good as they look in their photos then they should be fine) I will post photos when the other watches arrive.

As per my earlier comment I recently purchased 6 IWC watches in 14 days (and since then I have purchased another one, an IWC Chronometer 3521, but that is another story) and another 2 of them arrived today. Before I show you photos I want to tell you how I came to buy these two watches. they were being auction by a German auction house where the only description was
"PORSCHE DESIGN/IWC mixed lot 2-pieces, gentlemen- and ladies watch IWC, and Porsche design , both in original packing, working" and the only photo was this one
    inlinethumb22.webshots.com/28053/2676368300028008938S600x600Q85.jpg

The minimum opening bid on these watches was less than 1,000 euro, so I put in a bid at the minimum price (thinking that I wouldn't win them and even if I did then for that price I would take them anyway, even not knowing what they were). I didn't think anymore about the watches until about 3 weeks later when I received an email telling me that I was the highest bidder (in fact I was the only bidder). So imagine my very pleasant surprise today when I received the watches in the mail and opened them up to find this.

A beautiful IWC Ocean 2000 in excellent condition and including the extra Velcro strap (unfortunately the tools and original paper work are missing, but hey I can't complain too much)

    inlinethumb22.webshots.com/11541/2627327640028008938S600x600Q85.jpginlinethumb44.webshots.com/48043/2907101410028008938S600x600Q85.jpginlinethumb28.webshots.com/50715/2759728900028008938S600x600Q85.jpg

and the other watch was a nice ladies titianum watch (I think this is quartz) if anyone can tell me anything about it, it would be appreciated.
