Hi, its my first time in this forum, im here to ask for some help.
I have this family watch,a Vintage IWC AQUATIMER, i estimate it being from the 60s and the reference 812AD. I know nothing else about its specifics. I would appreciate very much if someone could tell me all the specifics and its collectors value.
I have the original rubber strap but its not with me at the time.

Welcome - Great entry to the Forum.

This is the first ever IWC Aquatimer model, ref 812, launched in 1967. The age can be determined by running the serial numbers of the movement and case through the Date-your-IWC site.

A highly collectible watch, also with a substantial economical value.

Looks like it is in an untouched original condition. I you consider a service/renovation, make sure to not replace hands/dial and I wouldn't even have her polished.

    Thanks for sharing.

    /Anders

Thank you very much for your invaluable reply.
I apologize for my ignorance, but to access the serial number I would have to have the watch opened by a specialist correct?
    Many thanks once more.

Hello again, I’m sorry for such a late reply but I have been out all these months. The timepiece is still stored as it was. If you are still available for contact, where could I find your email? Many thanks!
