A friend of mine was showing me a picture of this watch which I found was quite good looking. (Then again, all IWC's are great looking) I was wondering if anyone has this and would comment on it? Considering to buy this if I can find one at a good price...

Picture of watch attached in the link below

Whilst I have a few AT's - I am not lucky enough to own one of these great looking Cousteau versions.

It's a beauty - and probably for that reason a challenge to find!

Go for it - and good luck in securing one.

there have been five Cousteau editions to date, and I think the latest one (in the link u provided) is the best looking, although my preference is still the Calypso the case design of the latter appeals more to me...

I have a few of these Cousteau editions, I agree with Shing the Calypso is the best looking IMHO.

I purchased one quite recently as a casual watch but grabbed it this morning. I think it is quite versatile and in my humble opinion does not look awful under a suit. (a happy surprise to me)

I have found that the more I look at it the more wonderful details emerge.

This watch has been my daily wearer since 12.2010 and I enjoy it a lot. Fits under a shirt cuff and looks fine while XC-skiing or snorkeling. I wear it on the steel bracelet with double pusher clasp and I think this combo is the best way to go.
I have I think all strap options (steel, both colour rubber, both lengths Velcro and an aftermarket black croco, fitted to the Velcro end-pieces which is only second best solution as we are still waiting for the OEM croco strap to be invented). I wish IWC made mat croco straps for this model too, I'd buy the black, the blue and the brown versions too, regardless price.
Enjoy the Cousteau if you decide to go that way! I think within a short time it'll be harder and harder to find.
    Best,
    Robert

Thanks everyone for your input, its pretty invaluable if you ask me... The IWC store here in Asia has 2 pieces left. I've reserved one for my birthday at the end of the month and hope to post some pictures when I get it!

That would be an amazing choice, however, any Cousteau would make a great addition to any collection!

I am picking one up duty free in July. I love the colour. Was thinking about the Galapagos but went with JC. Can't wait to get it.
