    Hey guys,

I picked up this IWC tang buckle that came off of a 3270-04 LPP. I received it and was surprised because it doesn't fit the Santoni strap I have, because the tang is too thick. The LPP came out in 2016, did IWC change the tang twice since then?! ie. Once to the thinner tang but "IWC" still off-centred, and then to the newer buckles with the centred "IWC"? I don't have any reason to believe it isn't authentic, but it is weird to me.

    Thanks!

It appears that the seller misidentified that tang buckle - if it were from a 327004 it would have come on a Santoni strap as well. I am guessing this one came off of an Aquatimer pre-2009. The buckle you need should look like this:

Thanks a lot Ben, that makes a ton of sense! I contacted seller and have received a partial refund due to the error. Very helpful.

How about the stitching at the tip of the strap? It doesn't look right to me, as if a not too experienced strap maker went wrong. Is this normal? I wouldn't like my expensive strap to look that way.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

One more view of the correct  "Pin " width of the tang buckle you need. Some AD's stock both/site_media/ckeditor_images/8651d6a23ad21d9f13313b827be004c4.jpgold and new IWC version buckles. Not sure about the Boutiques.
