    Hello,

Serial number is lower than 1,288,600 and database says: "The first series ist
marked as calibre 40., (...)having no fine adjustment"

But as I can see, there is a fine regulation with +/-?
So my question: is it a Cal. 40 or 401? And are there further informations
    about the movement?

this is a watch from 1952.

Thank you for help!Iwc cal. 40 or
401

    Hi Kubus,

below you find a picture of a CAL. 401 with a micrometric fine adjustment on
the regulator index. I marked it with the yellow Arrow. This assembly is also
called a "Swan Neck". This assembly allows very precise movement of the
regulator Index. Your Movement is a Cal. 40.

Sorry for the poor image quality
