Dear IWC Forum,
I noticed the crowns for IWC cal 853s are smaller than those found on Cal. 89s. I presume this is because the automatic 853 has less of a need to wind the crown. Is this actually the case or does the size of the crown have nothing to do with anything? In other words, does the size of the crown vary across different models irrespective of the caliber (automatic vs manual wind)?
