IWC cal 89 questions

Hi everyone,

I am certain that you get this question a lot but I had a look around and am uncertain as to the actual answer so would appreciate any input you may have.
I bought this watch a while ago and I am somewhat confused. The pervious owner had the latest service paperwork which showed it's a genuine iwc cal 89 from the 50's.
recently I had a look online and could not find a similar dail, so not sure if the dial is genuine or what?
I would also like to see a period accurate strap which this specific model would have used.
In the photos you can see a bit of a scratch on the 11 o'clock. Is it bad or a par for the course with a watch this age?

Last and let me know if it's inappropriate to post this here, did I overpay for this watch? So how much would you value it for in the current state?

for me nothing ist wrong with the type of dial for a Cal 89 watch, exept the scratch at 11. I very mulch like original dial conditions, but a scratched or damaged dail of course is not what the collectors are looking for.

i dont know what you have payed for this particular watch, but from the condition of case and dial, you shure need to make some deduction from the typical market price of a steel Cal 89 watch.

Thanks mate, it's just that I was not sure if the dail was right, couldn't find one like it to be honest. At least my mind is at ease, any idea what these currently sell for? I paid about 1K usd for it. May want to look up a decent strap thou
