I've recently become quite interested in the AQUATIMER CHRONOGRAPH EDITION "EXPEDITION CHARLES DARWIN"

Did a forum search and didn't come up with much information.

And the watch is impossible to see in real life, one shop in Kuala Lumpur where I was on vacation had one.... but didn't want to show it to me, even after I asked twice... Sigh.

So what do you guys know about it?

Looks like an in house movement

Bronze case is interesting, will be cool to see how it changes with time.

How fat is it? some aquatimers are extremely fat even compared to my Top Gun.

And that rubber strap, how long does it last? I'll be rotating it through my collection... so say 1-2 times a week wear?

And yes I want to wear it in the Sea and pool. that's the whole reason for it.

So I look forward to seeing what you guys think of this hard to find watch.

    Thanks

You just need to know where to look. I think it's a stunning watch that grows more interesting as it ages. I liked it a lot.
Unfortunately it did not come home with me....

Some members on this Forum have the "Bronzo" and are quite rightly very happy.

I also liked this Galapagos as well

Bit more info. It's an IWC calibre 89365 in-house automatic chronograph movement. The rubber strap should last a couple of years. The one on my Breitling did anyway. Cost 70 quid for a replacement for the Breitling. No idea about the cost of the IWC strap. I will let you know in a couple of years. Did you buy the Aquatimer Bronze then? It feels great to wear it. Very comfy. I cant stop looking at it! Often times I stare at this watch, then need to glance back as I didn't look at what the time was.

    Heres a few more pics..
