Can anyone tell me the limited editions of the cousteau aquatimer ranges. i have been offered on but it does not have the calypso wood in the back, just 035/2500 and a diver swimming with fishes, is there more than one limited edition? many thanks

Hi I have a Schaffhausen Cousteau Diver in my collection 1953 pieces. it has not got the wood insert.
I believe the model you mention has the wood inserted from the great mans ship but will stand corrected if wrong.

There are indeed more Cousteau versions. It started with a regular Aquatimer (no chrono) with a blue dial and orange accents. Then a few years later there was the Chrono with a darker blue dial, white accents and the piece of wood in the back. The next year, there was a Chrono with dark blue dial, orange accents and the swimmer in a shoal of fish engraved on the back. It's the watch on the left in this picture:

Then there was I believe a Chrono with a dark blue dial and yellow accents and now there is a Chrono in the new style with I believe white accents, a slate dial and blue subdials.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Thank you everyone for your time & knowledge, it makes a lot more sense now. The watch I am looking at seems to be a 2007 version which has a gold case that is the only thing that Im not so sure about asthetically. once again thank you very much.
