    Hi all

I'm a new member here so please go easy on me :)

There's an IWC Dirty Dozen on eBay at the moment and to be it looks like the
hour markers and numerals have been re-lumed? Just wondered if I could get a
    second opinion on this

To me the markers and numerals look too "heavy" and fresh. Like they have been
    over painted

    thanks

    Jack

Hello Jack - welcome to the forum! You are correct to be concerned with this
one, the dial does not look right to me for several reasons. I have a problem
with the numerals, the lume and the position of the broad arrow. And the price
is too good for an all-original piece. I would stay away.

    Thanks Ben that's very helpful

Also on the subject of iffy dials ... this didn't look like the two recognised
variants I've seen? Another one to avoid?

Both examples are known ^...no drama

Being a more recognisable variant doesnt mean a watch is fine and dandy...just
    recognisable.

Exactly Catherine I agree just because it is a recognised variant doesn't make
it real, but that's where I think you've misread my post. Re being a
recognised variant...doesn't relate to the first eBay link, as I suspected it
was a duff example, it relates to the second link above which isn't a
    recognised variant

    Regards

    Jack
