    Hello
My name is Adam, living in Belgium and I have currently bought an IWC Mark XVI. The watch has some deep scratches and dents but the price was very low so I decided to send it for a service at IWC.

On the IWC website, I have read that they offer laserwelding so the case will remain it's original shape after polishing. But does this also apply to steel cases or only gold?

I get different answers, so I would like to see if someone has experience with the service at IWC.

    With kind regards
    Adam

laser-welding works for stainless steel cases as well.

However, if the scratch marks are too deep, you may not be able to get rid of it entirely.

Yes, I have seen pictures that it's also possible for steel, but I would like to know if IWC themself also offer this service for steel cases?

    Regards
    Adam

    Hey Adam,

They do offer it. Given your location it will probably be taken care of by the platform in Amsterdam. They have a laser machine ;)
    Cheers
