    Hi all!

Recently I've bought unusual IWC C.952 movement in technical steel case with
Triovis regulator. I've tried to find some more info as for the movement and
found nothing. No serial number, no calibre ref. on the movement itself, so
probably a prototype. Here are few photos of the movement in its case.

    IWC Cal. 952

Well, the regulation items look similar to other cals. produced for BERGLAND.

Perhaps your 95(x) Ebauche was produced for a school watch ?!

    regards

was thinking the same as Hebe, I have seen other IWC calibers without seriam
number that were used as school watches.

Saw one recently for sale ( in fact , have a bid on it ;) )

Thanks a lot for quick replies! Actually it's could be a "school movement",
because I've bought this movement from the seller who sold few "ecole
d'horogerie" watches, including rare Peseux 260.. Do you think it's a serial
calibre, something like 983 or 953 (mentioned few times on forum) directly
from IWC or more likely modified 952 at watchmakers school? Even the steel
case with "C.952" engraving looks very solid and like something made at
manufactury. I mean, I'm a seller, so just trying to get as more information
as I can to describe this timepiece, to understand the rarity and how much it
should cost at the end :)

Thank you for your help, Mr. H.Bertram, I really apriciate it. If you fell
that already provided information also should be paid, you are welcome to send
    me corresponding invoice.

Closer to the topic, of course it's not C.983, but some kind of 95X, as
correctly mentioned by Hebe, but still not sure if it could be 953 or modified
    952. In a week I will be in Schaffhausen for busines trip, so will try to
visit manufacture to get some info.

I will keep trying to find more information about this intersting movement and
of course will be happy to share it with forum members for free without any
discrimnation, regardless if they are collectors, sellers, buyers or any other
human being who has a passion to the watches :)

Pretty much effort preparing an uncommon movement for selling ?!
And good luck placing this topic in SH :-)

Your case looks similar to this one - which was for a prototype movement. I am
trying to remeber but I believe it also had the caliber identification
engraved on the side of the case:
