Dave, two things
I'm genuinely sorry for your loss. However, this does happen with fine watches, jewelery, etc. IWC didn't steal, misplace or lose your watch --quite possibly someone during the shipping process did-- perhaps an employee of the shipping company, although that's difficult or impossible to prove. There's very little if anything that IWC can do in such circumstances when they are not at fault, and it's a third party that takes your watch. That's why IWC and other watch companies have insurance.
Second, this forum has rules ---one of which is that service issues aren't a discussion topic (we ask people to read the rules before posting). One reason for this rule is that each situation can be unique and difficult to evaluate the facts in any individual circumstance. But for all the replies to your complaint, I'd normally ask that your post be removed. However, given the discussion, I would that any further comments be off-line. Feel free to e-mail me, if necessary, and others can reply to you by e-mail.
I'm sorry, again, about your loss, although there's nothing I or this forum can do. You'll have to go through IWC for insurance reimbursement.
Thanks and good luck,
Michael
