    Hey Forum,

I am the proud owner of an IWC Ingenieur Ref. 1832. Recently the watch was serviced and the watchmaker told me that everything about the watch is from back in the days and original. Now I there are 3 things that bothers me. The crown looks different from the ones I saw online, the back case does not have the reference number stamped inside and the movement isn’t an 8541ES. It’s the 8541B.
Can you help me out with cleaning the doubts please?

    Thank you so much!

    Hi,

Never seen this crown on a 1832. Original crown was probably changed to this one. During next service at IWC, your watch will get the correct crown.

Most 1832 which I have seen over the years had a  8541B movement. Those watches all got the Certificate of Authenticity in Schaffhausen.

There were various different case backs used. Nothing to worry.

    Greetings Martin

Great, thank you very much. I have seen a crown like this once but I can’t find the advertisement again.
