    Hi All,

I wanted to post my new acquisition accompanying the picture with an article worth the watch in the Vintage section, I’m probably going to write more next year but, abettor a sudden flu (which doesn’t deter myself to work) forcing me to bed, I simply couldn’t resist any longer to share with my forum family.

The watch is renown so, without any further hesitation, I would like to introduce my Ingenieur ref. 1832 to you:

    i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm101/flyrobyfly/69cb5d5e.jpg

    i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm101/flyrobyfly/4b100e62.jpg

    i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm101/flyrobyfly/631ab622.jpg

    i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm101/flyrobyfly/40422495.jpg

    i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm101/flyrobyfly/3e8d793c.jpg

    i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm101/flyrobyfly/3eeb24c7.jpg

    i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm101/flyrobyfly/28c18c72.jpg

    Personal first impressions

I nicknamed the watch: “The Monster”, in its Latin meaning of prodigy, of something appearing as totally new and impressive, if I think it was conceived more than 35 years ago, I can simply try to imagine the shock it must have given to the first who had to greet it.

The Tresor owns this ambiguity to disguise the viewer so if he focuses just on the bezel and the dial, receives the impression of an elegant and sober watch but if he then just diverts his blush to the carrure and the bracelet, has the instant perception of a beefed and indestructible object , ready to take any challenge, whatever the exercise.

I can hardly believe my watch is already 35, not just for, lucky me, its great conditions and perfect coevality of its parts, but mainly because it’s incredibly actual.

This is my way to honor the lately disappeared but never forgotten and enough regretted Master, Gerald Genta, whose hands and imaginative mind gifted us some of the most beautiful watches of our times.

    Thank you for reading.

P.S. If you’re the owner of an Ingenieur ref. 1832, please participate to the census survey, if you want, here: Ingenieur ref. 1832 case number: Census Survey!

    Thanks Alan.

    Shark processing I'd say :)

The first and wider circle comprehends all GG models, more than a year ago, the last and final approach, one month and a half. In the middle, the quest for another model along with this one but with unhappy ending and a lot of study and tries, because watches I chose to stay in my collection forever have to be in great conditions, inside and outside.

    My friend Roberto,
Knowing your passion for the 3227 and in our recent correspondence I kinda expected a nice vintage piece making its way to your wrist. Thanks for sharing this beauty and congratulations. I hope to it in metal soon. Ciao!

LOL! I'd higly advice against frontal assaults in case of vintage, they often turn out as terrible checkmates, particularly indicated for self - humiliation and irreversible wallet thinning LOL

Thank you guys, the pleasure to possess this new piece is nothing compared to the joy to share here, along with my friends.

Congratulations Roberto, the Jumbo finally made it to your collection.
A great piece that will look good on your wrist. The only wrist it would look better on is... LOL.
Great too to see it is in such good condition. Well done.
    Wear it in good health.

The checker dial is really great. congrats to have this good hunt with a complete set of accessories.

Interstingly, the new book does not show this dial and handset, a white rectangular around date, without "T" marking, different shape of hand.

    Cheers

    Thank you,

a couple of images taken from the catalogues show the same dial, with same hands and "graced" T, it's the most common version I've seen although I think some dial variations are acceptable, as long the "T Swiss T" is present.

The most common hybridization, furniture dials apart, happened to encounter in my personal research was the substitution of the original hands with hands for quartz references, which are in same cases thinner, not mentioning the different second hand. But this is just my exeperience.
