IWC PD Compass Crown fixable?

Hello,

I have owned a Titanium Compass for about 30 years, it's in excellent condition. Today, however, the screw-down crown seem to have failed, it's probably stripped finally 😕 

Are parts still available at IWC and the watch's crown serviceable?

Congratulations to this beauty.

Yes, all parts should be still available.

If you have an IWC BTQ near by (https://www.stores.iwc.com) I would go there and look for the best option. As this watch is quite old, it will definitely be send to Schaffhausen to the Customer Service department.

It will be back in your hands better than before.

I actually own 4 IWC watches for over 30 years: the IWC Ref 3701, the Titanium Compass, the DaVinci 3750-029, and the fliegerchronograph 3706.

Yes, I have visited the nearest boutique. 

Actually the Da Vinci just went through a complete service and it's ready to continue on perpetually!

I discussed the Compass crown repair, but the local boutique staff did not know whether parts are still available, I thought before letting the watch go on a few months round-trip journey to Schaffhausen, I would ask here to confirm first.

Also, please help in determining whether the Ref 3701 of IWC PD chronograph is still serviceable?

I can not get an estimate via your automated system. Please see the attached photos herein.

Mr. Günter Blümlein was my hero, that's why I have treasured my IWC's, and watches of other brands that he lead to revive in the 80's and 90's.

I hope that I can pass on my collection to my son in the future.

Excellent collection of watches from the heyday of IWC! 

The 3511 Titan Compass is serviceable….I own the same model and it was in Schaffhausen in 2023/2024 and is like new now.
