    Hello all,

I own an IWC Portuguese perpetual calendar Ref 5032. I will like to know during new year eve when the clock strikes midnight, presumably the movement will have to summon enough energy to switch day / date / month and year all at the same time. For those that have seen it before, how long does your PPC took to make this change? I supposed it should happen gradually and not instantly.

Would it make any difference to wear the watch when this happen or take it off?One of my friend had this watch and the year indicator got stuck last year during the same time, ie new year's eve 12 midnight. So I am getting a bit jittery about this.

    Tks in advance.

It takes about 10 - 15 minutes, everything changes about the same time. Mine did it perfectly nine times, I wouldn't worry.

    Kind regards,
    Paul
