    Hi all,

I have recently become and proud owner of an IWC Portofino.

The watch is not more than a year old but I have recently noticed that I cannot change the 'day' by winding the crown to the left.

I have not dropped the watch or damaged it externally in any way.

What is likely wrong with my watch? Will I have to send it in for service? Is this covered under warranty?

    Kind regards,
    James.

Does the day change while cycling through 2x12 hour time change?

Thankfully it does - I've been using that as a quick fix!

I think you need to take it to your nearest Authorized Dealer or Boutique and let them have a look

There are two positions for the crown when you pull it out from the beginning, zero, postion. The first detent is for setting the day/date.  Do not do that between 20:00  and 02:00 hours.  I'm not sure if you turn the crown clockwise or anti-clockwise, but one wahy or the other, it will advance the date.   The second detention postion as you pull the crown out is to advance the minute / hour hands.  The zero position, where the crown is not pulled out at all, winds the watch. Are you pulling too hard and passing the first postion?  If not, then take the watch in for service.
