It just occured to me - I have never seen, heard or read about an IWC quartz movement Pocket Watch.
I could do a forum search - but thought to ask the question first - and then depending on the response search later.

Andrew
they exist...
I believe sme have the first beta movement inside.
A few years ago on a fair, I saw one for a few ( 2 o 3 ) hundred euros, but these prices are passé as we say.
The dials were similar in design as the wristwatch quartz ones.
here you go

iwcforme
there were several, beyond Beta-21s
Hi Andrew,
Searching the archives will show you many. But the basic list of recent pocket watches is in the article linked below. Those towards the end, with 6xx series movements, had quartz movements. If you click then on the model you will get details from the dealers' book page.

Michael
quartz? batteries? yuk!
Not when they are IWC Quartz. nt.
Please explain ..
.. I don't understand why you would not do a search first and if you did not find the information your were seeking then ask the Forum??
Why ask the Forum first?
Cheers from the cellar
I try to give guys a little slack....
...especially guys like Andrew who are excellent contributors.
At least occaisonally deserving of slack ;)

Michael
My explanation or is it an excuse ?
Here goes.......just as I thought of the question (and about to do a search - in the forum and public information databases) - I was summoned by girlfriend to go to a social event (immediately) in town and since I knew I would not be able to get to the forum until Friday afternoon I thought to come back to a time off-set dialogue.
Unfortunately I cant access from my pc at work the links so will need to wait to get home to learn more.
Thanks for the slack Michael.
Blame the girlfriend, yeah yeah, LOL
Were really expensive...
In the beginningwatches with the 1st Quartz movments Beta 21 where very expensive.
A DaVinc in 18k gold with Beta 21 and gold braclet had a price of about CHF 12'000.- compared to a Yacht club automatic, with gold braclet too, CHF 6000.-
And I think also pocketwatches with beta 21 where expensive too.
They are waterproof and really heavy. (I do not have a price for them).
Even tooday, the IWC pocketwatch with Beta 21 is rare and those how have one, like it.
The later Quartz pocket watches, where probably a try to keep pocket watches in the market. They are rare too, as nobody bought them. (And also the pocketwatches of the 1980's with wristwatch movments)
regards
Ralph
Thanks for the additional input
very much appreciated.
