IWC R 819 A

Hi All,

This is my first post here, as today I bought my first IWC.

I have been gathering some vintage watches, for my personal pleasure, but this is my first.
What I apprecited the most wast the bracelet in the pictures, but now that I have it, it fits just nice on my wrist.

Any comments from you are much appreciated.

Is it possible to know a little bit more abotu this model.

With regard to movement, it seems that it has not the quick-set date system, this means if I need to set the date correcty, I need to wound the crown untillI reach the desired day.

Also does anyone knows the bracelet fabricator, and if this bracelet is compatible with an vintage Ingenieur?

Watch works just fine, and sits perfectly on my wrist

According to the "Date Your IWC" applet, the case was produced around 1970, and delivered between 1970 and 1973.  Looks like it could be a Reference 1815 model.
