IWC repair centre

I am just about to send my pride & joy off to IWC to have the strap inspected. Call me paranoid but before I send it off, has any body else sent thier watch into this address? its from this website but has no reference to IWC and I want to be sure its legitimate. You hear so many stories these days.

Paul,

You are right for being cautious. But you may be surprised that many luxury watch brands are equally cautious about packages addressed with the full name thus identifying the contents therein.

Using initials camouflaging the identity of the destinee is commonly accepted and good practice to ensure safe arrival. The RIS is some type of reference to IWC's parent company Richemont and indeed the address is listed on the IWC company website.

Better be safe than sorry.

Is there no office or person to call before sending in your watch? In the U.S., we call the U.S. IWC office (difficult to get on the phone), but when we do, they give us a number to track the watch repair.
