IWC Spitfire

Hello, first let me start by saying I am happy to have come across this forum .  

Recently I picked  up a IWC Spitfire and i am beyond excited to show it off.  

I do have some questions.  Mine has a fish logo on the stem and the IWC near the s 6o clock spot instead of others I’ve seen with the TzC in that spot.  What is the difference.  

I wrote to IWC and plan to send it for service.  A full service for this is quoted at this time at 610.00 us. 

They will send a shipping box and label and I’ll get it mailed off asap.  I have attached a photo of my watch. The ref number it comes up as and another version of the same watch. 


 

Thanks for the reply.  Can you approximate the years this version was in production ? 

I look forward to its return from the shop.  

 

A quick update.  I requested service on the watch from IWC.  They in one day had a box at my door with prepaid shipping and instructions on where to send.  

So far so good.
