IWC Top Gun IW 3789-01 TOP GUN logo color

Dear IWC afficionados,

for quite some time I have been looking to find an IW 3789-01 (discontinued Top Gun 44mm) and now that I have I am facing following issue regarding the color (or the discoloration) of the Top Gun logo edged on the side of the case.

So far I was able to find said model only at foreign retailers, thus not being able to examine the watches myself.

The problem with the logo is that whereas in certain fotos it has a different color than the case (i.e. greyish), other (later?) models present a full black logo!

I will try to post a few pictures, where you may recognize the issue.

Could you offer any explanation for this kind of difference?
Was there a change in the production (initially coloured, later all black) or the "discoloration" is due to the use (water etc.)?

My 3789 looks exactly like the one on the last photo, greyish and with a clear contrast. It is serial # 33835xx, maybe this helps you to compare other watches.

All genuine IWC 3789's were manufactured with grey Top Gun logos on the side of the case. Some can be darker than others but never black.
Either the photo has been modified or the watch!

I have the 3789's brother the 3799. The logo is exactly like the one in the second picture. The watch in the first picture has an all black logo which does not seem right.

I know this seller in Amstelveen as a reputable jewelry and watch store. But they use a strange type of lighting for their pictures and it makes them look red/pink and this changes the colour of the watch. If you check their other listings ( ref 3756 etc) you can see the same effect. The watches i did see live in the store were perfectly normal.
