My father who was a clock collector, once gave me this watch face that was in a box of watch/clock parts. While I like watches, I don't know about vintage watches. I wonder if someone can guide me on whether this is worth refurbishing. I don't think I would wear this, but perhaps a collector would appreciate this model. Do I fix (risk going down a rabbit hole of costs) and sell, or sell in its current condition?

I am afraid that the main reason to a complete overhaul will be the sentimental value as it came from your father. Otherwise, the rabbit hole you mentioned could not be far off, but mayby others here will differ in opinion.
Well, it's not so sentimental as it was in this condition when I got it. I would be interested in selling it and buying a watch I can wear. where would I be able to find someone who would be interested in buying it in this condition, and how would I know if the price is right?
