    Just saw the article. They say that only a 100 YC were made with the cal 89. I
    remember that on the forum long ago someone posted that according to IWC
    information , 725 were made.

    In the article, there is also no mentioning off the YC quartz.

    I hope, that the low numbers made will not have an influence to my actual most
    wanted wach ?!?

    I think the Quartz one is even more rare. But unfortunately i developed an
    allergy to freqencies larger the 5 hertz on my wrist.

    Interesting that the diagram reproduced in that article showing the "bumper"
    system shows a slightly different arrangement of the "bumpers" from the one in
    the 1972 IWC catalogue (which Greg Steer kindly showed in my recent YC
    thread).
