IWC Yachtclub

Good Morning, I am new to this, so please xcuse my ignorance. I have recently inherited an IWC Yacht Club Automatic watch from my late father. It runs, but the bracelet is broken and the case needs polishing. Can anyone tell me about this watch? Its age, is it worth restoring etc?? I have a number of watches but never had an IWC before, but would like to keep it if it is viable.

Quite simply.......

Yes its worth sending back to IWC in Schaffhausen for a complete service and makeover. It will be expensive but well worth it as meany IWC forum members will testify.

Photos would be good so its possible to make a judgement but values of early YC's, which it sounds as though it is,are pretty good and in excess of €1k., therefore well worth having it properly restored by IWC

No doubt about it ...

Returning it to Shaffhausen for a refurbishment is definately the thing to do. Despite the fact of the emotional payback you will enjoy, these watches are well sought after and demand high proces.
