    Hi,

I recently purchased my second IWC watch, a pilot watch. I ordered it on line from joma shop and when it arrived I had it checked it out at the iwc boutique who confirmed its authenticity. I have noticed that when it's left on a flat surface, it generally runs ok on a full wind, however, when I wear it, it quickly loses time or more like severly loses about 10 minutes every hour. I have only had it a week! Not sure how to approach this other than to take it to the boutique. Is this a common issue and easy fix? I know it was manufactured in 2013 and it's still new. Could this be the internal oils and as such just needs a servicing? All comments and guides will be much appreciated.

Ps I remember with my Portuguese i had to run it in but it didn't have anywhere near the variance of this watch.

Welcome to the forum and congrats to your IW377701.

Loosing 10 minutes per hour is obveously out of range. The normal range would be +/- 7 seconds per day (rahter +).

Just get a service done and it will be fine. Good luck.

    Cheers Chris

Hope you got an IWC guarantee. Joma is predominantly grey market with their own repair service.

I didn't but I guess that's why there is such a difference in price. The watch is being serviced at the moment with IWC. Hopefully they don't charge me the difference in saving by buying from Joma!

If you purchased the watch in new condition, a routine maintenance service should do the trick.

yep job done and IWC didn't charge me because the watch was brand new and never worn before. Working perfectly now.

That is what I would call a perfect customer service.

    Enjoy your triple-7 Chrono!
