    Supercool !!
I really believe that IWC leads the way in watch industry's customer communication. Many other watch firms (I mean the top ones) have lot to learn from Schaffhausen.

"The sign of a different state of mind" says it all. Proud to be part of the IWC family.

That was cool - short, simple and to the point - with awesome shots to boot, I especially loved the underwater ones!!!

A tough act to follow for any competitor, I don't think any of them can stand for the same ideals anyway!!!

IWC has a great history of video shorts. Take the following, a classic for the brand:

I think it's a brilliant video in every respect. However, what Skule said got me thinking: what is IWC really selling here? The words that come to mind to me are adventure, ruggedness, sport.

To my thinking, IWC has virtually cornered the higher-end sports watch market, on land, sea and air. That's not to dismiss other brands or models (the Royal Oak, the Fifty Fathoms, Panerai, etc.) but from an over-all perspective none of them could have produced this video or offered so many watches to meet the themes presented.

On the other hand, IWC can't be all things to all people. It used to "sell" history, technical innovation, etc. IWC still has those qualities, of course, but the video isn't selling tourbillons, new complications or heritage as much --if at all-- here. That's understandable --the market is where it's at, but other brands emphasize others qualities (Breguet or Patek would be examples in other directions).

I think, as said above, it's a great video. it appeals to the right market in exactly the right way. with products at the right price point for the market. And it is perfectly produced, with amazing images and tempo. IWC is selling this high-class adventure.

I fully agree with you Michael - and I would also add "social and ecological committment", as referenced by the Plastiki and Galapagos sequences.

No other watch manufacturer can show/sell the same to my knowledge!!

The commercial is very appealing, because it is somewhat inspiring. It's message is one of aligning with the man who will never compromise. A man who "has reached everything he has ever reached for" and has lived extraordinary adventure with the drive and determination to "see the world from every possible angle" - and gives of himself, to seek answers for the way the world works, and heal it's wounds.

The writing is really good - because it could mean so many things to others, in different ways. This is just what it seemed to mean to me.
