IWC has just announced a special new partnership, with the Charles Darwin Foundation. This initiative is intended to reach out for preserving the environment and the Galapagos Islands.

P.S. I've actually visited the Galapagos --an incredibly special place.

    A very worthy cause

and given that the island is probably best known for the Galapagos turtle any commemorative IWC watch should have a slow beat movement!

    Cheers from the cellar

    I guess so

IWC does watches, never forget that. Still, my main interest is watches. Darwin was a genius, and Galapagos seems to be beautiful, from what I see sometimes on National Geographic. But there my enthusiasm and interest stops. To be quite frank, I would never spend the kind of money you need to buy an IWC watch for a watch connected to a good cause solely. I has to be stunning like the watch I wear today, otherwise there is no deal. So the good cause comes last, if ever so.

    Kind regards,
Paul, wearing VC Portuguese, whether the cause is good or not existing

    Good idea and cause

I think too. I also think there is going to be an new commemorating watch.

P.S. Did you go with the Beagle Michael? LOL

I enjoyed reading the article about it in the latest Watch International.

An excellent initiative. Thanks for the info/link

The Galapagos always intrigued me and is high on the travel list.
