    Hi

I have an old watch I got from my grad dad, bought by his dad properly between 1930-1950 (my wild guess)
After he died in 1998 I put it away and forgot it for a while.
Last week I gave it some thought and suddenly I want to find out some more about the watch.

It´s seem to be in a good condition.

The only information on the watch are International watch Co Saffenhausen, 14K,717450 and 618152.

Anyone here know anything about the watch?

    Thanks, Pål

    Hi Pål,

    Welcome to the forum.

The case number is usually higher than the movement number, so I'll assume 618152 is the movement number. And using DateYourIWC the movement was produced in 1914 and is a Calibre 74. It will have a sub-seconds dial at 6 o'clock and the crown at 3 o'clock, a search of the archive should provide some examples, click on the magnifying glass in the bar at the top of the page. It would be good if you could post a photo, How to ... post images.

    Cheers from the cellar
