Pocket watch enthusiasts might like to see this pair of Key wind Jones. The one on the left is a pattern S in a silver lepine case, the one on the right is a patten R in an 18K gold savonnette case. Interestingly they are both 15 jewel and the only difference appears to be the balance. The S has a flat balance and the R a Breguet balance. As with the crown wind versions, the S is inscribed "Intnl Watch Co New York" and the R is inscribed "International Co New York".

Sorry folks I have to find out why things have changed since I last used Photobucket. Also this forum site seems no longer to have the facility to preview before posting! I hate it when things you depend upon change.
As soon as I find out how to do it I will post the image.

It seems I have to pay for a contract to 3rd party host with photobucket now.
Any of you guys no a way to upload photos to this forum without having to fork out for contracts?

    Hi Alan
Yes it is some time now that Photobucket locked us out.
Some of us now use Flickr.
To display pics - Click on the arrow and copy and paste the BB code.

Thanks for the advice Mark, but unfortunately there is no arrow that I can find except for a ‘download’ arrow’ but that just downloads to the computer. There is an arrow on the picture but that just opens up a panel that says ‘share’ but does not give a BB code. I did a google search and got what looked like a useful tip. Select ‘share this photo’. But there is no ‘share this photo’ just the ‘share’ which is a dead end. It then says ‘click the pin symbol’ and you get the BBCode. But as there is no ‘share this photo’ there is no pin symbol.
Why also have they removed the preview facility on this forum. You used to be able to preview your message and so avoid wasting space if it didn’t work. That was really useful. Now you just have to upload your message and then hope for the best.
My apologies to everyone for wasting their time. If anyone can help me without taking up forum space my email is bavayia@gmail.com

The Forum Preview, is still there for me - The GREEN TICK at the top when posting, but takes some time to load!

To access the picture display, open the individual image and you should see this:

    next step, copy BB Code

    The pictures must be public
and this can only be done on a computer, not handheld

    Hi Mark,

Yes I had already tried that. I get the same window with 'share 1 photo to:'
but underneath are only 2 options 'Share' and 'Email' There is no 'Embed' and no 'BBCode'. I am using Safari. maybe I need to try a different browser?
Sorry to prolong this discussion but maybe it will help other users.

Good evening all, just in case it has eluded you, there is still a way to see and use Photobucket, all you need is to add a small script ;-)
If you're a Google Chrome user, download an extension called 'Photobucket Hotlink Fix'.
If you use the Firefox browser, like many of us, there are add-ons available to you from Firefox. One such add-on on is called photobucket embedded image fix. Add this to your Firefox add-ons and you'll be good to go.

Jimmy - you are the man! Thank you for the fix! I fear it may be temporary as Photobucket works to counter, but for now this is great! I will copy and paste your advice to one of my other posts.

Hi Alan, same picture as on the first post!

Ben, you may be right, but the fix has been standing for the last 4-5 Weeks, so if they find a way around it, that too will be countered ;-)
anything they can do, we can do better ;-)

    Hi Alan,
Back to the watches if you don't mind and what a great pair of very rare watches (key wind) Jones to see from the MASTER EXPERT!
    Thanks for posting these.

One could suppose I was drunk, but not this time!
When I visited the Forum yesterday, two Jones movements were visible , the movements exposed along each other, pictured on a table or a piece of wood.
I was particularly interested in an engravement on one movement :"International Co" which I had never seen.
Two hours later I opened the post once again : the images were gone!
Like you suggested, I was looking for the bottle, but there was none.
    Regards,
    Adrian.

    Hi Adrian and everyone else.
You are right, I posted the photo. I checked first on the preview and there it was. I then uploaded to the forum and sure enough there it was.
When I come back now I see it is gone! I used the Firefox fix for photobucket as suggested. Maybe photobucket has since pulled the plug on the plug in if you'll excuse the pun.
Oh dear, there must be some simple way we can fix this problem. Judging from other forum posts I am not the only one with problems!
    Alan
