and on the the 5102-12.. its a case where i have been looking at a watch and i couldnt tell what time it was.. the blue hands.. the white face.. and alll the empty space.. pretty much looks like a black sheet of paper saying.. what do you want to do? come on write someting... turn it around and god its all so busy. a 150 year plaque.. at fule guage.. gess Love it!

A little white dial action from down under...
Got a call from IWC in Dubai to see the Jubilee collection in the flesh - pulled the trigger on the spot. White dial with a Santoni brown/black alligator was just too good to pass. The watch should have come with that strap out of the box; really compliments the blue dial as well.

Current vs 150 year comparison of blue and white dials:
Differences between the blue versions are way more pronounced. The white laquer dial really has to be seen in the flesh, I have yet to see a picture that does it justice. I feel that the numeral printing process just sits better on the white laquer dial vs the blue, even though both are beautiful.

That Portugiesers and Pilots are really awesome stuff, gents! I love them all. The white dials of the Portugieser and Pilots Chrono is enormously crisp and clean. Can't do any better!
