There are two nights a year when the perpetual calendar is really special: the 31st December and 28th February. At the year end, the wheel that shows the year moves just a few millimetres. This is not a rushed job. The perpetual calendar takes its time - none of this KERS nonsense. Digging through some photographs of an excellent New Year's eve party in the Lake District, I found some snaps I took of the movement of the year wheel.
