Just curious --what's your first IWC?
Mark XII.
It was soon followed by Three GSTs, a vintage dress watch, Port. Chrono, Pilot's Chrono, Vintage Series Ingenieur and an AMG Ingenieur (that is my daily use watch). This was over an 11 year period,
IWC will always be my brand.

J
Just a lovely watch! I think black with
gold is just outstanding.

Timeless beauty
This watch stroke me instantly as stunningly beautiful. It would take a proud place in any collection, not only of owners but also of manufacturers. I don't think IWC has such a watch in the catalogue at the moment, but other brands come close, so it should be viable have this kind of watch in the collection. Enjoy!

3714 blue hands and dial....
In 2002. I looked at photos of the Portuguese Chrono for years before i was in a position to purchase one. As a reward for becoming a full partner in my practice I acquired the 3714. Although I now own seven IWC wristwatches the Portuguese Chrono is still one of my favorites.

My first love was
the Inge ref 3722 I was going to get this watch for my wedding in 2008 but when I got to the AD I thought I should get something for my bride too so I decided to let go the Ingenieur since I could not afford two watches at the time. I got Natassa the Portofino Automatic and for me the AT Automatic my first IWC.
Best regards

5001 in 2008
I remember the day I first visited the AD in order to try the 3714. I was ready to walk out with it when I saw the 5001. The rest is history...
Cheers,
Evan

Hilarious! LOL
So dressy! What a great look!
Roberto amico mio
both C. Darwin and Adriano Celentano would be very happy for you LOL

Lovely watches
The Portofino is a classic, and the Aquatimer Automatic is very underrated in my opinion. Without the yellow it is almost dressy, and I have seen some very beautiful pictures of it on another big forum recently: maybe worthwhile to look for them.

Just curious --what's your first IWC?
Dear Michael:
Happy to participate! My mark xvi pilot's watch with steel band, purchased last October, is, by a wide margin, the most beautiful thing I have ever owned. Previous to it, my Thorens 125 turntable held first place, but no longer.
After a couple of months' settling in, the mark xvi has gained exactly 2 seconds per day, never more, never less. That, to me, is astounding precision.
I vividly recall the first time I unscrewed the crown in order to set the watch. I was stunned by the sheer solid feel of the mechanism--what a superb piece of craftsmanship, I thought then, and still do.
Apart from showering daily and performing heavy tasks (such as cleaning the Weber Kettle), my IWC has not once left my wrist, nor do I expect that it will, until requiring normal servicing four or five years hence.
Cheers!

I liked the blue color that fits perfect with jeans

the philosophy behind it.
