Nicks, dings and scratches go hand-in-hand with watch ownership. I remember when I first starting buying watches, I nicked my Omega... boy I was upset for a while, but now each mark tells a story and I'm not overly fussed about little mishaps anymore.
Care to post some of your not so good moments?
Allow me to start:
I managed to scrub my 3717 against a brick when lifting something heavy
And another little chip...
My Pilot is in the same shape! I wonder if a polishing service would restore it to good condition?
My only not so good IWC moment so far happened when I tried on the platinum minute repeater when visiting Schaffhausen. For some reason I opted to take the watch off and return it rather than leap out the window and make a run for it...

When your friend is complaining about evil virtues of plexiglas crystal on a modern $10,000 Swiss watch and you tell him it's a homage to the tradition of how they we made in the day - and you faithfully exclaim how it's just as durable as anything else - to the point where you bet him that you will run it over with your car just to prove him wrong...
Until now I haven't had too many accidents, just two that I remember. When I took of my Ingenieur 3227-01 it slipped out of my hand and fell a moderate 2 inches onto a marble sink. The result was a dent in the side near the edge at9 o'clock.
The second accident was with my Pisa Portuguese Perpetual. I tried to take a 'HIP' shot (hand in pocket) but the camera fell out of my hand. I caught it with the hand wearing the watch and the lens hit the polished bevel just below the crystal. This resulted in a little ding.
Let's just hope it doesn't get as bad as on the Portuguese from Ardoise...

Ardoise, when I meet u in person some day, I need to have a big discussion with u about this. Its been bothering my since the middle of last year when I read it in the archives !!!!
I've had a few near misses, and a few minor scrapes, but nothing as scary as what happened in 2009:
I didn't see or feel the watch as I caught it with a t-shirt and knocked it of the bench onto the stone floor, but as soon as I heard the sound of it hitting the ground I knew exactly what had happened:
After some surgery back at IWC, here it is today back on my wrist:
Was not very happy when it happened, but happy when I got it back!
