    Dear Community,

today I just stopped by my AD and here is what he showed me:

    i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z376/giova26/GC_zps646892aa.jpg

And I just thought ... Life is complicated and therefore I should make it more complicated with such a Grande Complication:-)
It is the first time my wrist is having the honor to hold such a very special watch.
I HAVE A NEW DREAM ... And one should do everything possible to fulfill his dreams one day

    That is one rare IWC.
I personally prefer the previous model but that is a very rare piece to bump into if you are not in SE Asia of course.

    Giovanni,
Thanks for sharing, I'll put that on my bucket list after I acquire White Gold
Blue Dial PPC. I can only handle one watch dream at a time.

    Regards,
    Kevin

Hi Kevin, really strange. We have both the same dream wish list. Position 1: WG blue PPC; Position 2: Grande Complication RG limited.
Shall we go into a little competition who fulfills his dreams first:-))

If I bought a Grande Complication, my life would become infinitely complex ;-)

They have that and the older platinum model from a few years back here in Singapore and it's some serious hardware and amazing in the flesh I agree.

Dear Giovanni, that's indeed a very special watch! I have seen one from really close but I haven't had the chance to put it on my wrist. There was another collector (nobody from the forum as far as I know) who wouldn't let go of it ;-) One thing about the number of these watches made: according to the IWC site, it's limited to 100 pieces per year: portuguese Grande Complication. I think that chances are very slim to bump into someone wearing the same though :-)

Kind regards and good luck tomorrow,

    Clemens

Clemens, that is strange. I am sure I saw on the back the limitation which was stating "32/50".
Hm, seems like I need to go back to my AD tomorrow and check. Will post pictures.

Giovanni - great! Complicated indeed. I have tried this one on in the NYC boutique and it wears and appears so much better in person (it does not seem to photograph as well).

I still thought that the production was 50 per year as well, not sure the split between plat and gold. The watch was typically engraved with the year, such as "Grand Complication 2009 32/50"

The last time I bumped into someone wearing the Grand Complication - was none other than Hannes Pantli.
