IWC Pilots Watch Chrono-Automatic Edition Laureus Sport for Good Foundation IW371712

I've inherited the above watch from my late father and ever since I've had it, it has lost a couple of minutes per day.

I had it sent back a few years ago and got charged quite a lot of money for servicing however it is still losing about 2-5 minutes per day.

How can I solve this. I make sure to reset the time to the correct time and wind it about 40 times each day, however this makes no difference.

    Any suggestions?

    Stuart

I would go to the AD and have it regulated, maybe this is just the only thing that is wrong with it. Winding the watch often will not help in any way here.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

    Hi Sunflower,

thank you for your advice. What do you mean by AD?

    Cheers,

    Stuart

I'm not Sunflower, but AD means "authorized dealer".

Also, with respect to him I don't believe regulation will cure a 2 to 5 minute per day error. But do take the watch to a dealer: it might be as simple to fix as demagnetizing it (which takes a minute and doesn't require opening the watch). But it might require more, and if your repair was in the past two years, it most likely will be covered by warranty.
