Looking for a full set black dial IWC automatic 3506 full set from 1986.

The case size and profile are just perfect. I really struggle to settle with
anything bigger than 39mm so I tend to go for 36mm minimum sized cases.
Bracelets also for this model are superb and so light to wear.

What country or sites would you recommend to have a solid chance of bagging a
    full set?

    Hi altchrono,

yes the 3506 is a nicely designed and exceptional to wear due to it's size. My
fascination for the skinny ingenieur line started with a black dial 3506 and
still hasn't fallen away up until now. At the beginning of my collecting
career i was deterred by the movement which was not built on an IWC own
construction. But this has changed now due to its robustness and
maintainability. I think a full set would be really hard to find, but if you
go for the watch only, it is more easy to find one in decent condition. If you
are willing to give it a full service in Schaffhausen, you will be impressed
by the outcoming result. I made the experience several time, the service is
flawless. From what i know the skinny ingenieurs where a success in
    Switzerland, Germany and Italy.

    Good luck in hunting

This 3506 shown in th eimage has not yet gone to the Service

Yes! You understand my desire. I find it difficult with the latest offerings
to bond. So naturally I found this watch to be the ideal watch for my needs.
The movement is serviceable for many years to come and is proven to be
reliable. The dial layout is subtle and clean too even with the date window.

I have searched on eBay and chrono 24 but these are mainly watch only and the
full sets are increasing in price every year. The quartz jumbo is commanding a
    premium which I cannot justify.

I am based in London if anybody has knowledge of a watch here or in Europe for
    sale fyi.
