    Hi,

My family has an old piece with case number 396905 - according to the dating
site, it's from around 1907; the movement seems to be working, however the
face is damaged. Can anyone help with the model identication, and a potential
    market price?

I'd be grateful for any tips.

This is an intersting piece - you say it is a family heirloom? It appears to
have been worn as a wristwatch with the added lugs. Could you post a photo of
the movement (and include movement number also if possible). You may be able
to find a replacement dial but it may take a little searching and patience.

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for the quick reply. I should be able to provide more info/pics on
Monday. As for any repairs/replacements, my father just wants to flog the
watch as is, and he's looking for a market value of this particular piece to
    be able to start somewhere.

    Regards

    Hi,

I've got a couple of photos on the movement. As for the history of the watch,
my parents don't remember where it came from, whose side of the family etc.
    We'll probably never know.

Any help with estimating its value would be appreciated.
