I was trying to take a lume shot of my LPP MK XVII yesterday, but I didn't expect to capture the star on the seconds-hand tuning into a comet :)

    [i937.photobucket.com/albums/ad211/dilutedmagnetics/1379305_10151944588979281_287364361_n_zpsc20ba44a.jpg](s937.photobucket.com/user/dilutedmagnetics/media/1379305_10151944588979281_287364361_n_zpsc20ba44a.jpg.html)

Cheers and thanks for looking :)

Nicely done Pauline. What I find teriffic about the star on the XVII is that it doesn't block any sub-dials etc on it's "orbit". It's like it was tailor made for the dial layout. SO COOL !

Enjoying mine as I'm sure you and everyone who has one is doing. Hard not to stare into the Midnight Blue sky !

Andy, that is the best way to describe this blue. Midnight blue it is :)

Thank you David. I hope "Pauline's Comet" flies past Asteroid 612, which is the home of the Little Prince :)

    .

If anyone can capture that comet on paper, my money's on Pauline. Now sketching the engraved back...that would be absolutely fantastic to see.

Pauline..the Little Prince, the asteroid... you know you want to... (LOL)

What a wonderful lume shot, Pauline! It captures the beauty of this watch very well. May the star (or the comet) always shine bright to you. :-)

Very cool shot Pauline, just capturing that moment!
I've been looking at pics in many watch magazines, and often a slow shutter speed is used. In fact in many cases, from the sweep of the seconds hand, you can tell just how many seconds the exposure was.

When oportunity meets preparation, that's luck :-)

    Thank you Friends!

I didn't expect this post to be selected by IWC for feature on the "Friday Forum Fever".

About my handle, dilutedmagnetics: This is in reference to a semiconductor material that I studied for about 4 years as a post-doctoral fellow.

Very nice picture. And nice watch too. Do you (all) prefer this one or the standard Mark XVII?
