    Dear forum members,

I am a new member of this community and to be honest I know very little about iwc watches. Previously, I collected Omega models, especially vintage. Recently, however, I fell in love with the Mark XII... and here a certain offer came up, about which I have doubts, however. Please tell me what you think about the condition of this watch ?

    Hi Dalashim,

looks Ok, with some signs of wear on the bezel. What exactly are your doubts ?

    Hi Cromagnonman,

I was having the doubts regarding the dial - if that could be the service / replaced one? I'm ok with the bezel as it seems it has never been polished..

Although the lume is still fairly white, I do see a tiny bit of degredation. You can see it in the lower right corner of the lume at 9. I am thinkng a replacement dial may have luminova rather than tritium, and would not have the T SWISS MADE T.

    Hi Dalashim,

i am with Ben's opinion. Since it is a Tritium marked dial, it is most propably original.

... maybe just one more question - how do the tritium issues affect the watch value? Still thinking about buying it as my initial doubts are now dispelled but before taking final decition, I wanted to make sure it is not thw wrong one

    Hi Dalashim,

from my knowledge about the vintage market, the originality of a watch is always an important factor. Collectors typically asking for the Tritium dial and giva a premium for it.
