    Hi all,

I realized this was happening yesterday, and it has been continuing at a similar rate. I've only had the watch for two years! I tried out the Lepsi magnetism app to see if this could be the issue, and it did detect magnetism. However, it was my understanding that all IWC watches had a safety measure against magnetism. Could magnetism cause the watch to be running at such a faster rate? or is it more likely that the issue is more drastic and probably have to do with the mechanism inside watch?

I will be going to a licensed retailer this afternoon who will hopefully tell me what the issue is.
All comments, advice and recommendations are much appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Maxime

Hello Maxime and welcome to the forum. Indeed magnetism can be the cause of this. Best way to go, is to see a watchmaker.
Good luck and let us know, what the result is.

Typically a magnetized watch runs fast. And at the rate you have described most likely it is the case. Im sure there are magnetic fields that the Mark 17 cannot protect against. Demagnetizing takes a few seconds. Find a watchmaker or jeweler that has a professional demagnetized. My Mark 17 says hi!
