Almost wherever you are there is a chance to see another IWC- and watchfreak!

Currently in the US on a quite multi-facetted trip that took me to St. Pete in Florida last Friday.

Discussing the various opportunities on how to spend the Saturday, I got the suggestion to head southwest to Sarasota - coming back to the hotel it suddenly stroke me, isn't Sarasota the town where Alan lives, let's take a chance. I fired off an email and suddenly we had decided for lunch at Marina Jack's.

It was unusually hot I understood from Alan, especially for a Swede I can tell, but we had a great lunch together. Alan recommended a Grouper Sandwich - delicious - and the venue as such was wonderful.

Thanks again Alan for taking the time with me last Saturday on so short notice. The global friendship circle that is built through the Forum is a great "side effect" to our joint interest in outstanding timepieces.

It's always nice to see this informal, sometimes impromptu, GTG. That's what makes this place special.

Next time, if you or others wander to southwest Florida, feel free to drop me a line. I now spend most of the Winter in Naples.

Thanks, that's great to know Michael. That means the FL gulf coast is secured by friends of the brand.

This week there is obviously also great (actually Scandinavian) representation on the Atlantic side of FL, think Skule might be in Fort Lauderdale, are you?

Indeed Anders, the missus and I are enjoying Fort Lauderdale right now. We just came back to our hotel after visiting the IWC store in Bal Harbor :-)

It was a fine afternoon to spend with Anders. Nice to catch up and devour some good Grouper sandwiches.
It was a surprise visit but the timing worked perfectly.
