Skule,
I new that Ingy was yours as soon as the rubber strap dilemma was confronted. I have the variant DFB and it is a robust and wonderful piece.
As for the Deep Two... I tried that one on last year and it is a winner. Congrats
Congratulations my friend, two great acquisitions!!!!
Skule - what a phenomenal manner to reach the triplet state ! Nothing radical about that (scientists will understand).
I enjoyed your story very mich indeed.
That is three absolutely splendid watches your have in your IWC collection now. Which one is joining you on your endurance cycle trips ?
Congratulations on your new job role.
Sad news - the TorTour is fully subscribed and we didn't make it on time.
skule, congrats on the new job and for your two new 'babies'. great photos, thanks for sharing. very comforting to hear others have the virus raging too!
best wishes, thang
Skule, what is left say! Great story and excellent selections. Enjoy them and wear them in good health. Keep posting pictures.
Regards,
Kevin
PS, now that number 2&3 are 24 hours old what is next on the wish list? LOL
A PPC, a very serious AT and an chrono Ingie, my congrats to you.
First of all congratulations on the new job/role. Wish you all success in it.
Secondly: wow. Two great timepieces. Wear them in good health.
Wow, great additions to the stunning PPC! Congratulations and wear them all in good health!
Kind regards,
Clemens
Skule,
What more can be said, except congrats. on your bonus, promotion, new position and especially those beautiful new watches!
Zyxtimer
Skule, well done! Instead of waiting for CF 3 you went for 3 IWC LOL!
Big Congrats my friend :)
Hi Skule
Congratulations on your Deep Two - outstanding watch. I am not sure about the second one. It is a pretty watch but I hope your engineering job does not entail working around strong magnetic fields, or you will have to demagnetize that watch frequently.
I believe the saying from Oscar Wilde you wanted to quote was, "The best way to deal with temptation is to give in to it."
Oscar knew a thing or two about temptations. :-)
This is some very serious watch stuff Skule! What a great way to expand and built on your collection. I love them both and together with the PPC they make a perfect trio of excellent IWC watches. Congratulations and wear them in good health!
Norbert
Skule -
Congrats on your two new watches!
I hope your next watch is a pilot watch...
Dear all,
Thank you so much for all the nice words - this forum is truly about sharing the passion, and the more we all share the more passion we get!!!
I have been a tripple IWC owner for about a week now and I have not been wearing any other watch brand!!! The Big Inge has been my work companion and although the Ingenieurs did not appeal to me at first this one is really growing on me. The big inge chrono has great size, cool design, extraordinary clarity with the double antireflective chrystal, love the silver subdials and the texture of the black dial - this is a "tool" watch for me in my job, both in jeans but it also wears very well with a dark suit.
The Deep Two really speaks for itself - and I love the lume on it, this is a true tool watch!!
@Michael - thanks for the workshop info, great to know!
@KS Low - thanks my friend, you know that you are partly to "blame" for this crazy double whammy :o) And by "blame" I mean THANK of course !!!
@Mark - We two diving the deep with two Deep Two sounds like two very good ideas!!!
@Alan - great shots, looks very familiar :-)
@Andrew - sorry to hear about the TorTour - I am doing Paris - Roubaix again in June, and the the Rock D'Azur mountain bike festival in October. Sadly only the Polar heart rate monitors will be on my wrist when biking - don't want to damage any of the IWCs when I crash (which happens frequently when hitting the gnarly stuff on the trails, trying to push the envelope :-))
@Kevin - you know 7 days later and the virus is still repressed!!! I am not sure what is next - there is one at the top of the wish list which I have started to save up for, but the virus may test my patience before I can afford that one - LOL
@Antonio - No magnetic fields in my office environment, thankfully. The Ingenieur is the ideal choice for an Engineering Manager of course - and that two handed subdial of the chronograph is perfect for all the international travel - in other words a perfect "tool watch" for me :-)
@Tracy - You may be proven right - after a Portuguese, an Aquatimer and an Ingenieur the next have to be a pilot :o)
Hi Skule,
If you are happy, then I am happy. I did not want to rain, too much, on your parade. :-)
Whenever I am thinking of purchasing a new watch I hear Tony in the back of my head admonishing me about white dials, Faraday cages and fashion. I probably will not listen, but it does make me think twice.
No rain whatsoever - we all have different reasons for the choices we make, and we all like different watches for varied reasons.
As a matter of fact, to me, part of what makes this community so great is that we share our reasons and thoughts - and they are all good whether they agree or disagree with your own.
Sometimes you guys point out aspects of a watch I had not even thought of - and I learn something new, and maybe it changes my mind or makes me appreciate something even more :-) In short - it is all good!!
