Hi all,
My first IWC and I love it! It is pure class from every angle. I was after a piece which had history but at the same time had that modern touch. I feel this fits the bill quite nicely :)

You are so right, this is a fantastic watch full of character. Love mine too. They are quite rare at the moment, glad for you that you could still get one. Enjoy this beauty!
Kind regards,
Paul
great watch, congrats!

Nice one. It is one I hope to add to my collection one day. Great choice for a first up.

Congratulations. One more and you can be a collector ;-)
What a way to start a collection. Great choice and welcome!
Thank you all, you can call it love at first site with this piece. I just had to get it when I first saw it. I love the ticking sound it makes when you get close up.
I think I'll enjoy this piece for a while before I even contemplate of adding another piece.
Wow, very impressiv timepiece. Haven't seen this one so far. Congrats, it looks great!
Cheers Chris
Chris, I seem to remember it was in the 2011-2012 catalogue (Year of the Portofino) under Vintage Collection, if you can find one.
I've liked this watch since I first viewed a photo of Paul's Vintage Pilot on this forum. I tried one on while visiting an AD in Toronto and really have to agree..."a piece which had history but at the same time had that modern touch." Congratulations on your first IWC!
