Hello! It's my first time posting on this forum. My grandfather left my father a watch in 1992 that was purchased about 80 years ago. We really don't have any other information. Here's a photo.

The back has no markings. It's in working condition and has never been refurbished. The straps aren't original.

I was hoping to find out more about this watch, such as if it's even genuine, what model it is, and any advice on best steps to get it appraised? Any opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the reply. That definitely looks like the watch! I'm not surprised it's younger than we were told.

    Thanks again!

More than likely genuine and a nice collectible piece.

Get it serviced by a competent watchmaker or if deemed a family heirloom consider sending back to the manufacturers where the Wizards of Schaffhausen will give it a SPA treatment and send you back a watch good for the next 100 years of family duty.
