It's been one month since I was blessed with the opportunity to visit Switzerland to attend IWC and visit Schaffhausen.
The trip started out in Geneva to attend the IWC Gala, and SIHH to see the new DaVinci. My time in Geneva was short, but still very enjoyable. We took a helicopter tour of the Alps which was nothing short of incredible. I'll definitely be going back to spend some more time there in the Winter months.
The next day we were flown to Zurich and then driven to Schaffhausen which is about 45 min outside of Zurich. This was probably the highlight of the trip for me. Schaffhausen is a small but very charming town. Our first night there was spent in a house which was built in 1445 and has had a restaurant running continuously out of the ground floor since 1485. The next day we visited the IWC factories in both Schaffhausen and Neuhausen. We had lunch at Schloss Castle with a view of the Rhine Falls. We finished the day with a tour of the complications department, the museum, and finally a watchmaking class in the factory at Schaffhausen.
IWC really made sure we were well taken care of and got the most out of this experience. Even though it was a short trip, it was very memorable and truly a unique experience. I definitely look forward to going back again.
